About Dr. Silverman

Dr. Todd Silverman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania cum laude before attending Northwestern University Medical School where he graduated with distinction (top 5% of class) and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. He completed his residency in neurology, serving as chief neurology resident, at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, and served active duty in the US Air Force, reaching the rank of Major. He then completed an EMG fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic under the renowned electromyographer, Dr. Asa Wilbourn.

Dr. Silverman next joined the staff at Washington University in St. Louis, where he remains an Instructor in Neurology. From 2008 until 2019, he practiced at St. Luke’s Hospital where he was Chief of Neurology and Director of the EMG Lab, which achieved accreditation with exemplary status under his leadership by the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. An accomplished teacher, Dr. Silverman was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2013 by the residents at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Dr. Silverman has over 20 years of clinical experience in all aspects of neurology. He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, with subspecialty certifications in Clinical Neurophysiology and Neuromuscular Medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is also certified by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

As a consultative electrophysiologist at NEI, Dr. Silverman utilizes his full range of neurological experience and diagnostic skill to provide referring physicians with clear electrodiagnostic results that assist in accurate diagnosis and guide patient care. He also has a reputation as a personable, kind and caring physician who makes patients feel comfortable and treats them with the respect and compassion that they deserve.
